France Delays VAT Hike On ‘Personal Services’

“The rise in the French VAT rate from 7% to the standard rate of 19.6%, as called for by the European Commission, was initially due to apply in France from April 1. However, the Government decided to postpone the measure to allow the professionals concerned sufficient time to prepare for the tax rise.”
