1.9% Rise in German Tax Revenues

I must say that Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, has put up a good show by making the German economy the pillar of her 3rd term campaign, with her “solid finances” and “strong economy” slogans, higher income tax revenues, wage increases and a more stable labour market.

The German tax take has risen by 1.9% up to Eur44bn which can do her no harm at all just 5 weeks before a federal vote.

Viel Gluck, Frau Merkel!
