UK Pays £27.4 Billion for 100 European Regulations

The Open Europe think-tank has produced a list of 100 European rules and regulations which it says costs the UK £27.4 billion a year, more than is raised by council tax. Obviously there are benefits, but measuring these is more difficult as estimates are often used. With Scotland asking itself the cost-benefit of continued UK membership ahead of its referendum next year then maybe the same approach might be used by the UK in its dealings with Europe.
