NHS Selling Confidential Medical Records

What do we actually get for our tax in the UK? Just days ago the controversial NHS project to sell GP medical records on patients was put on-hold, well so they said. Now there is a report on how the UK insurance industry bought millions of NHS hospital records for 13 years and used it with other personal data they bought. With so many scandals hitting the NHS, one after the other, a taxpayer might think the NHS should concentrate on health care. For me the NHS selling what used to be confidential medical records on the open market destroys trust in the NHS.
