Chancellor’s Autumn Statement 3rd December

The Treasury have announced the date of the Chancellor’s autumn statement as Wednesday 3rd December 2014. The autumn statement is the government’s update on the economy and it’s tax plans, partly based on forecasts form the Office for Budget Responsibility. New tax proposals, likely to be in the budget next year, are often put out for consultation at this time, to gauge public response and perhaps make fine adjustments. But, with the government still not unable to get deficit under control, more tax rises seem likely.
