All the main UK parties are making tax promises in the build-up to the general election in May. The Conservatives have suggested a reform of Inheritance Tax (IHT). Labour wants a mansion tax on London and SE England to pay for the NHS, elsewhere mainly. LibDems want an increase in the tax-free personal allowance. UKIP propose a Treasury Commission to make sure big corporations pay their way. The Greens are proposing a new tax on the wealthy.
