Unilever Tries Marmite-Gate in Ireland (Staying Inside EU)

Unilever tried Marmite-Gate with Tescos in the UK recently. The story was that, supposedly because of Brexit and currency changes, the supplier wanted to increase prices to the supermarket for thing likes Marmite, which is made inside the UK and not imported.
Reports from the Republic of Ireland say Unilever is trying something similar there, with price increases of up to 19% demanded from the Centra and SuperValu supermarket chains. Given that Ireland is staying inside the EU it is hard to see how the Irish prices hikes can sensibly be blamed on Brexit.
